In this game you have control of one faction, population 1 billion, and your mission is to colonize the solar system, and do it better than the other factions! What is your HIDDEN AGENDA?
Along the way there's a natural increase in your population, except when the other PLAYER FACTIONS decide to interfere and CANCEL it.
Beware also the Four Riders of the Apocalypse: Death, Famine, Pestilence and War!
Recycle helps, as does clever use of the Power Politics card!
The Opening Treaty makes early going a little easier, too.
Actions you can take to settle our Solar System include:
- Send out New Colonies to build colonies on, or around, the planets and the Asteroid Belt
- Vital resources at a distant planet can encourage your government to colonize and exploit their discovery.
- Dispatch some of your population as Migrants to an already settled planet. But established colonists already there may oppose their landing!
As the game progresses some planets will reach their sustainable population limit and no more natural population increase will occur. But you can always find ways to encourage your population to Double, and the Asteroid Belt is available for Limitless expansion.
In the end, points are awarded for which faction has the most population overall on strategic planets. Points awarded for helping others during the game are also added in. Brief Optional Rules allow players to score extra points for wealthy, happy and generally pro-life populations. Whoever has the most points wins! |
